Hailed as California’s heritage grape, Zinfandel originated in Europe and is genetically identical to both Italy’s Primitivo and Croatia’s Tribidrag. The Zinfandel name, however, is truly American; the earliest documented use was recorded in 1832 in Boston, when a nursery owner advertised Zinfandel for sale.

Introduced to California during the 1850s Gold Rush, Zinfandel thrived in the state’s warm Mediterranean climate and is today, the third-leading winegrape variety grown in California. The versatile flavour profile of California Zinfandels make them the perfect match for summer grilling.

We are asking you to promote California Zinfandel instore and via an email offer to your customers including the message that it is the perfect partner to summer grilling.

To help you create signage instore and online/email we have designed a suite of assets that you can use for email headers, shop posters, website banners, and window decals. We want to make this as easy as possible for you to take advantage of the campaign, so all assets are digital. If you need to print off any assets, you can do this to match your specifications at a local printer.

You can run the campaign from now through to the end of September 2025.
